  • Dr. Emilie Sheppard, Clinical Neuropsychologist

    Dr. Emilie Sheppard completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Neuropsychology at the University of Montreal. Throughout her training, she gained experience with renowned clinicians and researchers at the Montreal Neurological Institute (epilepsy and brain tumors), Montreal General Hospital (acute trauma), and the Douglas Mental Health Institute (severe child psychiatry). Dr. Sheppard thereafter completed her Pre-Doctoral Residency in Clinical Neuropsychology at Hamilton Health Sciences, completing rotations in the Adult Acquired Brain Injury Program, Integrated Stroke Program, Adult Consultation Neuropsychological Services, as well as extended rotations in Pediatric Neurology and Pediatric Oncology Neuropsychological Services.

    Dr. Sheppard is licensed for independent practice with both the College of Psychologists of Ontario and with L’Ordre des Psychologues du Québec, specializing in Neuropsychology with children, adolescents and adults, as well as Clinical Psychology with adults.

    Dr. Sheppard has been an associate with Storrie, Velikonja & Associates since 2017, providing Psychological and Neuropsychological services to children, adolescents and adults having suffered from an Acquired Brain Injury, and presenting with various other factors and struggles. Dr. Sheppard is also competent in providing services to First Responders suffering complex trauma. She provides services in both English and French.

    Dr. Sheppard also works in a clinical and research capacity at the Acquired Brain Injury Program at Hamilton Health Sciences, working with adults having suffered mild to severe brain injury. She is also an Assistant Professor (part-time) with the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences, McMaster University.
